Senior Network Engineer

• Design, implement, troubleshoot, analyze and maintain Academy networks.
• Configure, test and maintain LAN/WAN/DMZ/Wireless networks and related services.
• Identify, diagnose and resolve network problems.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks, applications and appliances.
• Perform day-to-day activities required to manage data services, such as network design, implementation, and management, to include troubleshooting of complex network issues.
• Provide daily supervision and direction to support staff, to include technical and administrative direction., We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer to join our team supporting the Department of Transportation.

• Must have a minimum of 7 years of related experience managing data networks, possessing extensive skills and knowledge in network design, architecture, troubleshooting, and management.
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field.
• Hands-on experience with Cisco networking, including Nexus switches, routing, and switching
• Experience with core network protocols: DHCP, DNS, VPN, MPLS, MTIPS, and BGP
• Experience managing cloud-based network infrastructure and Out-of-Band (OOB) networks
• Experience configuring and managing firewalls, including policy creation, monitoring, and analysis
• Hands-on experience in a structured environment implementing and administering network devices
• Experience defining, enforcing, and maintaining network security and access policies
• Proven experience configuring and maintaining Cisco routers and switches
• Experience designing, deploying, and optimizing wireless networks
• Experience with Aruba architecture, including Wireless and Network Access Control (NAC)
• Experience with Nutanix Prism and Acropolis Hypervisor (AHV) management
• Experience with network access security tools (e.g., NAC, endpoint security integrations)
• Experience managing Microsoft Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy
• Experience writing and deploying PowerShell scripts for automation and administration
• Experience supporting Level 2 and Level 3 issues in Windows Server and Windows 11 environments
• Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and network optimization across complex environments
• Required: 1+ certification from the following:

• CCNA
• CCNP
• ITIL v3, While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. • Amount of Travel: Less than 10%, Target salary range: $86,000.00 - $118,000.00. The salary range displayed is an estimate and will be determined on several factors regarding the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies and experience, as well as contract parameters and organizational requirements. The displayed salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
