Job description
The Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist post is located in the Evaluation Office, New York. S/he will be responsible for the following duties:
- Leadership of the Evaluation Office communications and knowledge management strategy;
- Effective coordination and procurement of the design and management of EO evaluation reports, briefings, presentations, infographics and multimedia materials;
- Timely coordination of analytical support to the Evaluation Office corporate planning, reporting and briefing;
- Maintenance and evolution of repositories of knowledge;
- Coordination of Evaluation Office communication products;
- Contribution to activities of evaluation capacity development and quality assurance;
- Evaluation Office corporate management.
Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master's degree or equivalent) in information and communication technology, public policy, economics, political science or social development.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Knowledge and experience:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience;
- Solid knowledge and experience in knowledge sharing, including e-platforms and designing systems for government, international organizations or NGO;
- Solid capabilities and experience in evaluation capacity development and quality assurance in big decentralized organizations;
- Ability to think and work logically and work precisely with attention to detail;
- Ability to write clearly and concisely;
- Initiative, sound judgment and demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with staff members of different national and cultural backgrounds;
- Knowledge of specialized software applied to evaluation, including IT knowledge to establish and maintain databases and tracking system;
- Demonstrable interest in communication, including evidence of uptake and use.
Languages:
- For the post advertised, fluency in oral and written English is required.
- Knowledge of French or Spanish is an advantage.
