Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain the enterprises database systems.
- Work with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
- Perform technology Assessments, evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to make recommendations for technology adoption or retirement
- Create and maintain comprehensive architectural documentation, including diagrams, models, and technical specifications.
- Implement solutions that meet the needs and requirements of stakeholders.
- Design and architect database HA and DR solutions
- Experience with comparing and recommending the right database systems.
- Ensure the security and performance of the DB2 database systems.
- Stay up to date on the latest database technologies.
- Train and mentor other database professionals.
- Experience with database technologies.
- Experience with big data technologies.
- Experience with data warehousing and analytics.
- Experience with data security and compliance.
Requirements
- Masters degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in database design, development, and maintenance.
- Experience in Linux and IBM DB2 is mandatory
- Experience with a variety of database technologies, such as Linux DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, and MySQL.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
