Job description
o Responsible for day to day business needs for visualization maps and report creations o Responsible for but not limited to, data creation, correction, and extraction, and application configuration o Responsible for reviewing data quality and performing minor data edits o Facilitate the acquisition and importation of external data sources into the company's GIS datasets o Participate in the testing of changes, enhancements, and upgrades to the company's Transmission GIS o Perform data extractions from the GIS data sets on an ad-hoc basis Track and update status on individual tasks assigned o Assist in the testing of changes and upgrades to the company's Transmission GIS system o Document processes and establish procedures to accomplish assigned tasks o Become knowledgeable of all standards created for the company's Transmission Information System (OTIS) web and mobile modules o Able to use and understand the functionality of the company's Transmission Information System (OTIS) web and mobile modules. o Document and report QA/QC issues of 3rd party provided data o Assist in the development and delivery of OTIS training materials to end users o Assist in troubleshooting and resolving issues reported by end-users of the company's Transmission GIS o Learn and utilize 3rd party tools, such as Admin Tools, to support the management of the company's Transmission GIS o Learn and follow internal standards to utilize and maintain the company's Transmission Information System (OTIS) web and mobile modules o Ability to assist in OTIS maintenance windows, including occasional nights and weekends, o GIS o ArcPro o ArcGIS o SD o JIRA o As built mapping
Requirements
o Bachelor's degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a related subject, or equivalent experience preferred o (2) years of experience in GIS methodologies using ArcGIS software Experience in using ArcGIS Desktop version 10.7 or higher, and ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or higher o Basic understanding of GIS concepts, image interpretation, and conveying GIS/spatial information to non-GIS/technical people o Able to work independently while adapting to rapidly changing goals and prioritizing accordingly o Excellent communication skills (written and oral) as it relates to training and knowledge transfer of information. o Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Knowledge of electric transmission infrastructure is preferred but not required The Company offers the following benefits for this position, subject to applicable eligibility requirements: medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, long-term disability insurance, short-term disability insurance, paid parking/public transportation, paid time off, paid sick and safe time, hours of paid vacation time, weeks of paid parental leave, and paid holidays annually - as applicable.
