Job description

Perform exploratory data analysis and build predictive models to identify trends, forecast demand, and optimize logistics within the Joint Petroleum Enterprise Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations through reports, dashboards, and presentations for operational stakeholders Collaborate with engineers and analysts to access and prepare data from platforms such as Databricks and Palantir Ontology Analyze Joint Petroleum Enterprise datasets to identify opportunities for deeper analysis and operational insight Assist in defining data requirements for ingestion and API development to ensure datasets are usable for analytics and operational decision making Participate in working groups and stakeholder meetings to support data driven strategies and tool selection Support governance boards and senior leader briefings for USTRANSCOM, the Joint Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense Complete ad hoc analytical projects supporting Global Bulk Fuel Management and Delivery initiatives

Requirements

If you want to work on real operational problems, see your work contribute to mission success, and be part of a team that values respect and collaboration, we would love to talk., Bachelor's degree in computer science, Data Engineering, or a related field 8+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role Strong proficiency in SQL and Python Experience developing data pipelines using tools such as Apache Spark, Kafka, or similar technologies Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Experience working with Databricks or Lakehouse architectures Ability to travel within CONUS approximately ten percent of the time

Desired: Experience working with Palantir Ontology Experience with data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling techniques Experience with machine learning frameworks Experience with API development and RESTful web services Experience with Maven Smart Systems or similar platforms Experience supporting DoD, DLA, or USTRANSCOM programs Ability to work in a fast paced, agile environment and quickly learn new technologies

Pay Range: $125,000 - $140,000 per year
