Job description
We are seeking a skilled IT System Administrator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in systems engineering, cybersecurity risk assessments and prevention planning, and IT infrastructure design and implementation, with a focus on designing and implementing robust solutions that enhance our service-oriented architecture. This role requires expertise in various technologies and methodologies, including endpoint management, endpoint security, cloud security, Hybrid (on-premise & cloud) environment management, Cloud migration, Network design, Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft VDI, SaaS architecture, and continuous integration practices. The IT Systems Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of our systems. This position is 100% in person with no current plans of hybrid scheduling., * Design and implement scalable IT infrastructure solutions to support business operations.
- Develop and maintain service-oriented architecture (SOA) and solution architecture frameworks.
- Manage ETL processes and ensure data integrity across systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system requirements and specifications.
- Conduct system design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Administer cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and ensure compliance with security best practices.
- Implement load balancing, VPNs, firewalls, and other network security measures.
- Utilize tools such as VMware, MS Hyper-V, Kubernetes, Proofpoint, Sentinel One, and Jenkins for system deployment and management.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and manage information security initiatives.
- Develop scripts for automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Proven experience in systems engineering or IT infrastructure roles.
- Strong understanding of computer networking concepts including DNS, DHCP, GPOs, and firewall configurations.
- Familiarity with database management systems such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or NoSQL databases.
- Proficient in scripting languages including JavaScript, C#, SQL, T-SQL, or PL/SQL, powershell, & active directory group policy management.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (ESXi) and system hardening practices.
- Experience with N-Tune or equivalent device management platforms.
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services (SOAP).
