Job description
CGI Federal is seeking a Sr Solutions Architect to join a collaborative, high-performing team focused on delivering user-centered design solutions that drive mission success. The Solution Architect plays a key role in shaping and delivering technical solutions that align business needs with modern technology capabilities. This role analyzes mission challenges, develops technical architectures, selects appropriate technology stacks, and ensures designs are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards. The architect works closely with stakeholders and technical teams to guide solution implementation from concept through delivery. Ideal candidates bring strong analytical and communication skills, deep experience in enterprise and cloud architectures, and the ability to lead and collaborate across diverse technical teams. This position is located in our Baltimore office with work performed at client site in Maryland., Collaborate with stakeholders and analysts to understand mission goals, identify gaps, and define technical requirements. Develop high-level solution designs and architectural blueprints, selecting technologies that support scalability, availability, and security. Provide recommendations and roadmap guidance to drive implementation. Oversee integration and delivery to ensure alignment with enterprise standards and quality expectations. Communicate technical direction, progress, and risks to stakeholders at all levels. Work closely with development teams, architects, project managers, and analysts to guide successful execution.
Requirements
Ability to obtain and maintain US public trust. Bachelor's +12 years experience in IT Deep experience in enterprise and software architecture, including microservices, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and complex systems integration. Ability to translate business needs into practical, scalable technical solutions using data-driven analysis. Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to support stakeholder engagement and lead cross-functional teams. Proven ability to address complex technical challenges with a solution-oriented mindset. Solid understanding of business processes, financial considerations, and risk factors to ensure solutions align with mission and organizational goals. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $89,600.00 - $198,400.00.
