Job description
The VoIP and VTC Systems Administrator is responsible for operating, maintaining, securing, and updating enterprise Voice over IP (VoIP) and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) systems to ensure service integrity, security, and high availability. This role involves responding to incident tickets, service requests, restoration of services, and change requests while maintaining system documentation and ensuring compliance with security policies., * Operate, maintain, secure, and update enterprise VoIP and VTC systems to ensure system integrity and security.
- Configure, patch, and scan systems to maintain high availability and optimal performance.
- Respond to incident tickets, service requests, and restoration of services, as well as process requests for change.
- Maintain documentation of server/system characteristics, physical/logical capability diagrams, and security policies/settings.
- Notify the Government of any "critical" or "high" incidents impacting critical systems and services.
- Troubleshoot, repair, and recommend changes to VoIP and VTC infrastructure to ensure robust and sustainable systems.
- Perform availability and performance monitoring, including trend analysis to assess service quality.
- Employ best business practices to provide secure, standardized, and scalable VoIP and VTC systems.
Requirements
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; 0 years with PhD. 9 years of experience in lieu of BS/BA
- Expertise in VoIP and VTC system operations, maintenance, and security.
- Experience with system configuration, patching, and vulnerability scanning.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for infrastructure support.
- Ability to create and maintain detailed system documentation and diagrams.
- Knowledge of availability and performance monitoring tools and techniques.
- Familiarity with security policies and compliance standards within enterprise environments.
- This position requires a proactive approach to ensuring the reliability and security of VoIP and VTC systems while delivering high-quality services to meet organizational needs.
Benefits & conditions
Target Salary Range: $66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual's experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
