Job description
- Drive and maintain the technical baseline for the Laptop portfolio.
- Maintain deep technical understanding of Windows and Linux products, including adjacent product lines.
- Guide current and future developments with focus on vulnerabilities, feasibility, and innovation.
- Collaborate with Technical Leads, Project Management, and development teams to create cohesive communication strategies.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear messaging for diverse stakeholders.
- Review and comment on product plans and technical reviews.
- Serve as technical representative at boards, reviews, and with external stakeholders.
- Generate artifacts and documentation to capture technical baselines.
- Assist with research and testing efforts prior to formal testing activities.
- Interface with development teams to understand and quantify technical challenges.
- Identify product issues and vulnerabilities before realization in product.
- Guide concepts in the innovation pipeline through productization phase.
- Gain hands-on experience with portfolio products for troubleshooting and support.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Security Clearance: TS/SCI++
- Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business IT, or related technical field; 10+ years of experience (additional 4 years may substitute for degree)
- Experience with desktop OSs (Windows, Linux, macOS) in customer environments
- Strong organizational skills; ability to prioritize workload
- Ability to work in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment
- Demonstrated experience coordinating and completing action items
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including briefings and technical documentation
- Ability to convey complex issues clearly to senior leadership
- Self-starter with ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Understanding of project control gate processes
- Experience with Agile development models/processes
- Hands-on development experience on Windows, macOS, and/or Linux platforms
- Strong understanding of low-level code across platforms
- Ability to explain complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders using text, graphics, or diagrams
- Extensive experience with MS Office suite, including Visio, Visual Basic, and WSL
Desired:
- Masters degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Business IT, or related technical field
- Strong stakeholder relationship management skills
- Intelligence Community experience
- Familiarity with operating system architecture and commercial messaging products
