Job description
As a Network Engineer, the work you'll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of the Diplomatic Security Service at the Department of State. You will play a crucial role in installing, operating, and maintaining network infrastructure.
? Support the network architecture running crucial analytic applications.
? Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
? Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth and reliable operation of various network appliances and infrastructure hardware for ensuring system availability and reliability.
? Monitor, maintain, support, and optimize all networked software associated operating systems.
? Analyzes and implements DOS Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to ensure the security of the network architecture.
? Participate in the upgrading of operating systems and design of network enhancements.
? Provides input on new or existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to network administration.
? Develop and maintain network architecture diagrams.
Requirements
Microsoft Windows,Network Engineering,Network Infrastructures, 5 + years of related experience, Bring your engineering expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Network Engineer Senior must have:
? Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
? Experience: 5+ years of related experience
? Technical skills: Cisco, IPSec Tunnels, Network Engineering, Network Security
? Security clearance level: Possess and maintain a Secret clearance

The likely salary range for this position is $111,155 - $150,385. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
