Job description
Implement features and services for the Ads Agent Orchestration platform including agent tools, skills, and API integrations
- Build and maintain integrations between the agent runtime and Amazon Advertising APIs (campaign management, reporting, bidding)
- Write clean, well-tested, production-quality code following Amazon's engineering standards
- Develop and maintain automated tests, deployment pipelines, and monitoring for team services
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to operational runbooks
- Collaborate with senior engineers and scientists to translate designs into working software
- Contribute to code reviews and team technical discussions
A day in the life
- Write and test code for agent orchestration features (Python, TypeScript/CDK)
- Participate in daily standups and sprint ceremonies
- Debug issues in development and pre-production environments
- Review code from teammates and incorporate feedback on your own code reviews
- Work with senior engineers to understand system architecture and design patterns
- Monitor deployment health and respond to alerts during on-call shifts
About the team You will join the Ads Agent Orchestration team within Amazon Advertising's Full Funnel Agentic Intelligence organization. Our team builds the platform that powers AI agents capable of understanding advertiser goals and autonomously executing advertising strategies across Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP. We work with technologies including large language models, multi-agent orchestration frameworks, and the Model Context Protocol (MCP) standard. The team operates in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment where engineers ship production AI systems that serve millions of advertisers.
Requirements
3+ years of professional software development experience, or Bachelor's degree or above in engineering or equivalent
- Knowledge of at least two of the following programming languages: Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, or Go
- Experience in any of the following: Cloud Architecture, Systems Design, Software Development, Infrastructure Architecture, Data Engineering or DevOps
- Knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, and algorithms
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS Services including EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS
- Experience in machine learning, data mining, information retrieval, statistics or natural language processing, or experience in developing and deploying LLMs in production on GPUs, Neuron, TPU or other AI acceleration hardware
- Master's degree or above in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
