Software Engineer III

Seeking a Senior Java Developer to support and enhance a mission-critical enterprise application in a regulated environment. The role focuses on maintaining and improving a Java 8 / legacy J2EE codebase, delivering new features, and resolving production issues while ensuring stability, reliability, and compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Java SE 8 / legacy J2EE applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, including root-cause analysis
• Implement new functionality while maintaining system stability
• Support integrations, batch processing, and downstream dependencies
• Participate in code reviews and follow development standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams
• Contribute to documentation and operational readiness

• 5+ years of Java development experience (Java SE 8 required)
• Strong experience with legacy or monolithic Java/J2EE applications
• Experience with Spring, JDBC, Hibernate, or similar frameworks
• Proven production support experience in enterprise environments
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
• Experience working within regulated or controlled environments, * Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
• Familiarity with Unix/Linux environments and enterprise platforms
• Exposure to CI/CD tools (Git, Jenkins, Maven, Gradle)
• Experience with newer Java versions (11 or 17)
