Core Java Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Core Java Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Core Java, modern design techniques, and the full software development lifecycle across large-scale, multi-OS environments and a proven ability to deliver resilient, secure, and scalable solutions while coaching teams and influencing firm-wide engineering practices.

• Provides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
• Sets the overall guidance and expectations for team output, practices, and collaboration
• Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
• Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
• Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 9+ years applied experience
• Proficiency developing Data intensive applications using Spark , AWS, Java stack
• Experience leading technology projects
• Experience managing technologists
• Proficient in automation and continuous delivery methods
• Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
• Practical cloud native experience
• Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Apache Spark, Spark's core concepts, including RDDs, Data Frames, and Spark SQL.
• OOP principles and design patterns. Ability to write clean, maintainable, and efficient code in Java
• Spring Ecosystem, including Spring Boot, Spring MVC and Spring Data.
• AWS cloud services (EC2,S3, Lambda). Familiarity with deploying and managing applications in a cloud environment.
