Information Systems and Cyber Division (ISCD)staff couple the latest in information system technologies, such as elastic compute clouds, containerization, microservices, real-time operating systems, and visualization frameworks, with expertise in cyber security, software architecture, software engineering, data science, Artificial Intelligence (AI), process improvement, and software development to deliver responsive, resilient, high-performance software intensive systems to our Intelligence Community, DoD, and civilian customers.
The Cloud Platforms & Architectures Department (CPAD) is the center-of-excellence for cloud computing and cloud-related technologies within The Aerospace Corporation. CPAD's overall goal is to stay at the forefront of cloud technology to enable our customers to effectivelyleverageit to fulfill their space mission needs.CPAD works with other organizations within ISCD to build innovativeITinfrastructure solutions in support of software, cybersecurity, data, and AI research and prototyping efforts. We are looking for aSenior Technical Program Manager(Senior Project Leader,Cybersecurity Architecture &Cloud Computing Architecture)to lead the development of this infrastructure, helping to bring together stakeholders from across the enterprisein order tocreatemodern ITinfrastructure solutions thateffectively meet mission needs. This role will provide corporate cloud and cybersecurity leadership to develop and sustain a vision for the next generation of IT infrastructure to supportgovernmentspace missions.
This is a fulltime position that can be based in El Segundo, CA,or Chantilly VAwhichrequires100% onsitework.
WhatYou'llBe Doing

Own the strategy, planning, and execution for modern IT infrastructurefor software, cybersecurity,cloud,data, and AI systemsin support of government space missions.

Work acrossintradivisionstakeholders to assess IT infrastructure needs for software, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AI research and prototyping.

Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, and ITexpertsand leadership across departments to build cross-functional technical teams to achieve project goals.

Lead teams researchingcutting edgeITinfrastructuretechnologies and developing prototypes todemonstrateand benchmark their capabilities for government space missions.

Collaborate with mission owners to integrate space-based platforms (e.g., small satellites) intosoftware, cybersecurity, cloud, data, and AIresearch and prototyping environments.

Create and deliver presentations to internal teams, executives, and external stakeholders.
What You Need to be Successful - Senior Project Leader -Cyber Security Architecture &Cloud Computing Architecture
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, software engineering, or a related STEM field.

At least 12 years of experience working withsoftware,IT systems,and related technologies.

At least 5 years of experience working with cloudand cybersecuritysystems.

Proventrack recordof leading engineering teams, coordinating complex technical tasks among team members, and translating customer needs intoviableinstructions for engineers.

Demonstrated ability toinitiateand complete tasks, learn new technical approaches, and interact effectively with a broad range of organizations.

Successful history of promoting positive team dynamics, mentoring team members, and working effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

In depth knowledge of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, roadmaps, and risk management.

In depth knowledge and hands on experience with at least one public cloud vendor (e.g., Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform).

Experience in designing, developing, implementing,operating, and evolvingIT infrastructure systems in support of technical users.

Willing to travel domestically to work locationsand customer sites upto15%, ifrequired.

This position requires ability to obtain andmaintaina security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship isrequiredto obtain a security clearance.

The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
