Job description

  • Develop, update, and maintain system requirements, concepts of operations, and interface definitions related to telemetry.
  • Develop new or upgrades to legacy ground support processing equipment.
  • Research and evaluate, validate and document replacement telemetry system material and equipment for ground station deployment.
  • Conduct trade studies and present findings to stakeholders to support technical decision-making.
  • Develop integration documentation, verify requirements, and communicate results to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Present technical findings project goals, risks, analysis reports, and technical documentation including architectural views to both internal and external customers.
  • Travel is needed to support mission execution at RTX facilities, test sites, vendor locations, and customer environments.

Requirements

Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date, * Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM preferred) and a minimum of 5 years of prior engineering experience.

  • Experience with System Integration and Test Environments.
  • Experience with telemetry systems.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience working in a matrix environment.
  • Knowledge of telemetry airborne and ground station systems design and integration.
  • Experience with RF and signal processing related to telemetry systems.
  • Experience with authoring and delivering technical presentations such as design reviews, test readiness reviews and technical documentation.
  • Hands on experience using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, power meters, signal generators, RF transmitter, RF receivers and other RF components.
  • Knowledge of GPS timing and distribution.
  • Knowledge of test equipment design, architecture, component selection and fabrication.

Benefits & conditions

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
