EDI Specialist

Develop, coordinate, implement, and communicate the organization's Internet-based strategies and initiatives for Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) systems

• Responsible for ensuring that EDI-related production and procedures are maintained and properly executed, including development, change requests, and enterprise integration projects Responsibilities include:

• Perform system configuration, mapping, and management for EDI-based transactions and processes

• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software problems

• EDI Troubleshooting and support

• Define and perform EDI system backups and recovery procedures

• Monitor and test system performance and provide performance statistics and reports

• Perform data audits and quality control measures

• Develop and maintain EDI process documentation

• Conduct research on EDI-related hardware and software in support of procurement and system development efforts Requirements include

College diploma / university degree in the field of computer science or equivalent

• Knowledge of C, Java and Unix Shell
• Knowledge of EDI standard formats (ANSI X12, EDIFACT, etc) and EDI translators
• Working technical knowledge of coding standards
• Familiarity with Internet protocols, including HTML and XML
• Good written and oral communication skills
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to conduct research into EDI issues and products as required
• Highly self motivated and directed
