Job description
We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and backend data solutions that support analytics, reporting, and business operations. You will work with modern Azure cloud technologies-including Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and Azure SQL Server-to implement robust ETL/ELT workflows and data models. This position requires strong backend development experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an agile environment., * Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and backend data solutions using Python and Azure cloud services.
- Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.
- Develop and maintain data models, warehouse structures, and integration layers to support analytics and business intelligence.
- Work with Azure SQL Server and related cloud data services to create efficient, secure, and reliable data storage solutions.
- Collaborate closely with data analysts, architects, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality solutions.
- Implement best practices in code quality, performance optimization, and DevOps automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex data processing issues, ensuring reliability and accuracy across the data ecosystem.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement within the engineering team.
Requirements
Do you have experience in IT?, * 5+ years of experience in backend and database development within the IT industry.
- Strong hands-on expertise in data engineering, with deep technical skills in Python, Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure SQL Server.
- Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/ELT pipeline development.
- Working knowledge or exposure to Azure Synapse Analytics (added advantage).
- Experience working within Agile delivery models and familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and automation.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to design, implement, and optimize complex data-processing solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, ensuring smooth communication and alignment across engineering, analytics, and business teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
