This role plays a critical part in ensuring that software baselines are accurate, traceable, and compliant with contractual and regulatory requirements. The position supports both development and production environments and requires strong organizational discipline, technical awareness, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage configuration management plans and supporting documentation

  • Process and track engineering change documentation, deviations, and corrective actions

  • Coordinate and execute software builds, packaging, and deployment activities

  • Manage source control repositories, build automation systems, and integration environments

  • Troubleshoot build and release issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption to program schedules

  • Conduct configuration audits to verify alignment between approved baselines and delivered products

  • Interface with internal stakeholders and external partners to align configuration processes with contractual obligations

  • Support compliance activities, including quality audits and documentation reviews

  • Evaluate and refine configuration workflows, tools, and metrics to enhance efficiency and reduce risk

  • Partner with engineering, quality, and program teams to ensure consistent release planning and execution

Requirements

  • Experience supporting the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) in a structured engineering environment

  • Working knowledge of change management processes and configuration control principles

  • Familiarity with collaboration and tracking tools such as Jira and Confluence

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

  • At least one year of experience editing and managing controlled documentation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three or more years of relevant professional experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, data science, physics, or a related technical discipline

  • Experience working with source control systems and automated build or CI/CD pipelines

  • Background in configuration management within aerospace, defense, or other regulated industries

  • Experience facilitating cross-functional working groups or review boards

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly document technical decisions

  • Demonstrated attention to detail and commitment to process discipline

  • Ability to influence outcomes through collaboration and relationship-building across teams
