Job description
This position offers the opportunity to work fully remote within the United States (except for Alaska and/or Hawaii). Team members who choose virtual / remote work should have an adequate space to serve as their home office, and must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours . This position will require employees to come on site to one of our St. Louis campus locations a few times per year for meetings/events or as needed. #LI-REMOTE, As an Engineer 2, Software for Product Delivery - Vehicle Solutions team, you will be responsible for debugging, patching, and improving the overall health and stability of applications in Vehicle Solutions. It is important for you to interpret end-user business needs to develop and/or modify technical solutions for off-the-shelf and/or custom-developed applications. In addition, the Engineer 2 - Software will perform unit and integration testing and develop unit test scripts.

- Contributing to the development of company objectives and principles to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
- Assisting in the development of strategic planning for the department
- Mentoring and providing technical guidance to less experienced software engineers
- Following and implementing defined standards, processes and procedures for the department
- Researching and seeking out emerging technologies that would be beneficial to the team
- Must have strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate to various levels of management and with people with varying technical knowledge
- Must possess initiative, results-oriented drive and a solid work ethic requiring minimal direction, * Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
- Must reside in the United States (does not include Alaska or Hawaii)
- Must be able to work a schedule within U.S. Central Standard Time core business hours.
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
- 3+ years' experience in software programming and development
- 3+ years experience in Unix Operating system.
- 1+ years of experience with Rest/Soap Web Services
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high demand, and challenging environment, * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
- Experience creating and implementing PL/SQL in Oracle Database Environment
- Experience in Agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum and Kanban
- Experience with JIRA
- Experience with Jenkins or other continuous integration tools
- Experience with source control management (GIT or SVN experience preferred)
