Job description
The Associate Principal Data Scientist is a leadership role responsible for managing and supervising data science teams across multiple business domains.
This role involves a high degree of internal influence and public presence, contributing to the company's tech consultancy, educational programs, and open-source initiatives. The Associate Principal Data Scientist is also a technical partner to internal stakeholders and plays a key role in the client consultancy process.
Responsibilities
- Leading and supervising data science teams of more than eight people across multiple business domains
- Contributing to internal company initiatives, such as hackathons, competitions, and educational programs
- Serving as a technical partner and trusted adviser for internal stakeholders
- Participating in the activities of the CTO office and Competency Centers
- Driving the development of innovation and technology strategy at the company level
- Mentoring junior team members on the Associate Data Scientist track
- Driving proactive demand generation at the company level
- Leading and supervising competency development at the location level
Requirements
- Completion of 6+ prod stage projects and 12+ PoC level projects across all data science domains
- Experience as a data science or machine learning architect in at least two main domains
- Ability to technically validate and lead the implementation of a data processing system, including data preparation, modeling, inference, monitoring, and feedback loop
- Ability to design data processing system architecture
- Proven ability to improve and evolve engineering practices
- Experience in conducting more than 150 technical interviews, with at least 50 conducted globally and at least 15 for senior level roles

- Public influence such as running an open-source project, high-recognized public profiles, participation in communities or foundations
- Expert knowledge in at least three business domains
- English proficiency of B2 or higher
