Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data pipelines within a Microsoft Azure-first environment. This role supports data powering a mission-critical mobile application used across the transportation supply chain industry, where reliability, performance, and data accuracy are essential. The ideal candidate brings deep SQL expertise, hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory, and strong working knowledge of core Azure services such as Logic Apps, Function Apps, and App Services. You will collaborate closely with application, platform, and business teams to ensure data is delivered securely and reliably to downstream systems., Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines using Azure Data Factory to support high-availability production workloads. Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and data models for performance, scalability, and reliability. Integrate and orchestrate data workflows using Azure Logic Apps and Azure Functions for event-driven and automated processing. Support and integrate data solutions with Azure App Services and backend APIs used by mobile and enterprise applications. Ensure data quality, monitoring, error handling, and observability for pipelines supporting mission-critical mobile applications. Collaborate with application developers, product teams, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data solutions. Implement security, governance, and best practices across Azure services (RBAC, managed identities, secure connections). Troubleshoot production issues and participate in on-call or support rotations as needed for critical systems. Contribute to continuous improvement of data architecture, performance optimization, and Azure cost efficiency.

Requirements

4+ years of professional experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar data-focused role. -Ability to go onsite in Bangalore 12 days per month -Expert-level SQL skills, including query optimization and complex transformations. -Strong hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF) in production environments. -Proven experience working in a heavy Microsoft Azure ecosystem. -Working knowledge of:

-Experience supporting production-grade, business-critical applications. -Solid understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration patterns, and cloud data architectures. -Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, high-availability environments.
