Job description

A Windows Desktop Administrator is responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting Windows-based desktop environments across the organization. The role ensures systems are secure, updated, and optimized for end users while providing technical support and troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

They work closely with IT teams to deploy applications, enforce security policies, manage device configurations, and ensure a smooth user experience., Install, configure, and maintain Windows desktop operating systems. Manage system imaging, deployment, and configuration. Monitor system performance and resolve desktop-related issues.

  1. User Support:

Provide Level 2/Level 3 technical support for desktop, laptop, and peripheral issues. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity problems. Support remote users and virtual desktop environments.

  1. Patch & Software Management:

Deploy OS patches and security updates. Install, upgrade, and manage enterprise applications. Maintain software inventory and license compliance.

  1. Endpoint Security:

Implement endpoint protection, antivirus, and security policies. Manage disk encryption and device compliance. Ensure desktops follow organizational security standards.

  1. Device & Asset Management

Manage laptops, desktops, printers, and mobile devices. Track hardware inventory and lifecycle management. Support device provisioning and retirement.

  1. Automation & Scripting : Automate tasks using PowerShell scripts. Maintain configuration standards and automated deployments. Key Technologies & Tools
