Job description
This role leads the development and quality assurance of data pipelines critical to organizational data infrastructure and analytics capabilities. It involves mentoring data engineers and overseeing the analysis, architecture, design, and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions. The role differentiates itself by combining technical leadership with hands-on contributions and strategic planning for data engineering initiatives. Success is measured by the reliability, scalability, and effectiveness of data solutions and the growth of team capabilities. The work directly impacts organizational decision-making and customer insights by ensuring high-quality data availability and usability., Lead the design and development of data warehouse and business analytics solutions to ensure scalable and reliable data infrastructure Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and architect data solutions that meet business requirements Research and recommend technical approaches to address complex data migration, development, and integration challenges Provide hands-on leadership in data implementation projects and manage independent workstreams to deliver project objectives Facilitate workshops and design sessions to build relationships and align data engineering efforts with organizational goals Mentor data engineers to develop their skills in data architecture and engineering practices Also responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as needed
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree plus 7 years of related work experience OR Advanced degree with 5 years of related experience (Required) Acceptable areas of study include Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Statistics, or related technical field (Required) 7-10 years Related experience (Required) 5+ years developing cloud solutions using data services (Required) Minimum 3+ years of managing data engineering teams (Preferred) Experience designing and building self-service analytics and big data solutions using cloud technologies (e.g., EMR, Aurora, Redshift, Glue, S3, SWF, Quicksight etc.) (Required) Leading/coaching senior engineers and/or managers (Required) Experience with the Software development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile/Scrum methods (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated ability to manage global projects or programs including work prioritization, planning, and coordination (Required)
Licenses and Certifications: Cloud platform certification(s) (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, OR Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) (Required)
At least 18 years of age Legally authorized to work in the United States

Base Pay Range: $125,600 - $226,600
Corporate Bonus Target: 20%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate's actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee's eligible earnings in the prior year.
