- 90% Oracle (Exadata, RAC, GoldenGate, Performance Tuning)
- 10% SQL Server
Daily Responsibilities
- 80% Hands?On Engineering (architecture, tuning, troubleshooting, automation)
- 10% Strategic Planning & Technology Direction
- 10% Cross?Team Collaboration & Consulting
Requirements
- 5+ years of Database Engineering experience (or equivalent through work, training, military, or education)
- 5+ years supporting Oracle databases in enterprise environments
- 5+ years of experience with Oracle GoldenGate replication
- 5+ years of expertise in Oracle performance tuning
- 5+ years working with Oracle Exadata platforms
- 5+ years managing Oracle RAC environments
Desired Skills & Experience
- 3+ years administering SQL Server databases
- Strong background in database design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization
- 2+ years using Python for automation or operational tasks
- Experience proactively monitoring databases for locks, failed updates, and performance bottlenecks
- Experience leading automation initiatives to improve reliability, scalability, and efficiency
