Job description
The Global ERP & MES Administrator is a senior, hands-on technical role accountable for the administration, stability, and governance of a large-scale, global ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) environment., This role serves as the enterprise owner of ERP platform administration standards, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, and scalable while supporting long-term ERP and MES strategy, including complex migrations to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. The position requires deep technical expertise in Dynamics AX and D365, experience managing highly complex, multi-environment ERP landscapes, and a proactive, prevention-focused mindset. Success in this role requires both strong execution and the ability to drive change in an evolving, acquisition-driven enterprise environment., * Own end-to-end administration of the global ERP and MES ecosystem, including development, test, UAT, training, and production environments.
- Establish and maintain global administration, release, and deployment standards to ensure platform stability and performance.
- Provide expert technical ownership of Microsoft Dynamics AX and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations environments.
- Manage environment lifecycle activities such as provisioning, refreshes, patching, deployments, and release coordination.
- Lead administration and governance of Azure DevOps and Lifecycle Services (LCS).
- Partner with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to ensure secure access, compliance, and alignment with enterprise security standards.
- Proactively identify platform risks, lead root cause analysis, and implement long-term stabilization and preventative measures.
- Develop and execute strategies to centralize and standardize ERP administration across acquired and legacy platforms.
- Support large-scale ERP transformation initiatives, including MES integrations and migrations to Dynamics 365.
- Collaborate closely with solution architects, development teams, business analysts, and implementation partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in ERP platform administration or technical ERP leadership roles.
- Deep hands-on experience with:
- Microsoft Dynamics AX
- Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-environment ERP landscapes.
- Advanced experience with:
- Azure DevOps
- Lifecycle Services (LCS)
- Release and deployment governance
- Strong understanding of ERP architecture, integrations, and enterprise platform operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting MES systems and manufacturing operations.
- Experience stabilizing ERP environments following mergers or acquisitions.
- Knowledge of Power Platform governance and administration.
- Experience in regulated manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with X++, tiered environments, ISV management, and environment refresh processes.
