Job description
As a Cyber System Administrator for the GMD Weapon System (GWS) program, you will play a pivotal role in building and sustaining the development, operations and security posture (DevSecOps) of the program's classified systems and networks used for development, integration, test, training, and operations. The selected candidate will help shape the future of DevSecOps development for the GWS program., * Working with airgap environments, classified cloud environments, and government customer networks
- Maintaining ATO's, cyber security concepts and posture, and complex implementation of security configurations in cloud networks
- Maintaining security coding standard best practices, static and dynamic scanning tools, i.e., SonarQube, Fortify, Coverity
- Configuring and maintaining DevSecOps Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipeline tools including best practices, automated builds and tests, quality gates, software quality, and CI tools, i.e., Jenkins.
- Deploying and maintaining applications on Kubernetes clusters
- Diagnostics and implementation to quickly address issues and minimize impact to technical programs
- Developing and reviewing software code (Java, Python, etc.)

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 0-2 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with Systems Administration for Linux Operating Systems such as RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)
- Applicamts must have a current DOD 8140 IAT Level II certification or higher (ex: Security + CE)
- Experience with various windows and Red Hat scripting using tools such as Python, Perl, Bash, PowerShell, etc.
- Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is required to start
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active Linux Certifications (Linux+, RHCSA, RHCE)
- Experience with DevOps architecture such as Kubernetes, Nexus, Docker, GitLab, etc.
- Experience with security compliance and related security scanning products (ACAS)
- Experience in enterprise backup and restore solutions, storage area network (SAN), and network attached storage (NAS)
- Experience with network administration and related infrastructure
- Experience with hardware installation and maintenance to include firmware upgrades
- Vast experience with both Windows and Linux scripting languages
Benefits & conditions
Primary Level Salary Range: $79,600.00 - $119,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
