Job description
Morgan Stanley Services Group, Inc. is seeking an Associate, Data & Technology in New York, NY to triage and resolve tickets for supported systems and applications. Provide troubleshooting expertise for all aspects of custom-built and vendor-built applications. Develop and maintain knowledge base articles. Follow established procedures for managing business risk when updating production systems. Create and update process automation. Participate in strategic projects that enhance or upgrade Firm systems or employee experience - including releasing internally developed items to Production. Work as part of a team to provide complete 24/7 support to the production environment including participating in an on-call rotation. Enhance the monitoring and oversite of applications to ensure proactive alerting. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's in Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
-Requires five (5) years of experience in the position offered or five (5) years as an Application Support, Application Manager, Front Office Application Support, or a related occupation
-Requires five (5) years of experience with the following skills:
- Troubleshooting third party data providers including Markit and Bloomberg;
- Writing and interpreting queries in SQL;
- Supporting a 24/7 technical environment;
- Implementing DevOps practices including Octopus, JIRA, or Confluence;
- Scripting, automation, and continuous improvement practices;
- Supporting a Windows based environment including basic server administration;
- Using Cloud platforms including AWS and Azure;
- Working with Linux or UNIX based platforms; and
- Supporting multiple asset classes.
Benefits & conditions
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $139,000 and $140,00 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
