Job description
BAE Systems is seeking an experienced IV&V systems engineer to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers to develop mission capabilities on space qualified hardware for deployment to a space platform. Your responsibilities will consist of:
- Managing the system engineering integration team to include the systems content and work products, which comprises the development of the integration plan, test plans and procedures, to ultimately perform qualification testing and delivery of the product.
- Under your technical leadership, the team will utilize digital engineering and model-based systems engineering principles to perform and capture the system engineering integration and test artifacts to ensure one single point of truth for the technical baseline.
- Collaborate with other engineers to solve challenging problems and contribute to the growth of the product area.
- Manage the problem/anomaly reporting, tracking and resolution for the product.
- Coordinate and help to oversee the TVAC, EMI and Radiation testing on the product.
- Prepare and deliver technical presentations for engineering leadership and external customers.
- Travel to customer site(s) to perform field testing in preparation for customer delivery.
This position is based out of our Merrimack NH facilities in the Northeast.This role will be performed full-time on site due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration.
Requirements
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible to acquire SCI and additional SAP/SAR clearance.
- Prior experience as a lead of 6-8 engineers.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience performing systems engineering activities across the development cycle (analysis/decomposition/derivation/allocation of requirements, system modeling & simulation, system design & development, system integration & test).
- Experience with integration and thermal vac/vibration/shock testing on space qualified hardware.
- Experience with EMI testing.
- Working experience with technical performance measurements.
- Familiarity with RF applications and data links.
- Familiarity performing integration on space qualified hardware.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including experience interfacing with upper management, experience with presentations/reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR), customer facing.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline and 11 years of experience or Ph.D. with 9 years of experience.
- Working experience with Radar applications.
- Bid and proposal experience on major life cycle programs.
- Working experience with Model based systems engineering principles with tools such as Magic Draw.
- Familiarity with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Familiarity or experience with Agile for team collaboration and program complexity management across multi-disciplined teams.
