Job description
- Design, develop, test, and maintain mainframe applications.
- Work on batch and online processing systems using COBOL, JCL, IMS, and CICS.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform debugging, troubleshooting, and performance tuning of applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Support production systems and resolve issues within defined SLAs.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in COBOL programming.
- In-depth knowledge of z/OS operating system.
- Expertise in IMS database concepts, including IMS/DB and IMS/DC.
- Thorough understanding of CICS functionalities and programming interfaces.
- Hands-on experience with JCL (Job Control Language) for batch processing.
- Basic understanding of mainframe system administration, including dataset management and security., * Experience in legacy system modernization or migration projects.
- Familiarity with debugging and performance optimization tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
