Job description
The Data Developer will be responsible for the development, enhancement, troubleshooting, and maintenance of data-centric solutions supporting ADE business operations, analytics, and reporting. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across both technical and business teams. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain T-SQL database objects and ETL solutions
- Build interactive dashboards, analytics, and visualizations using Power BI
- Support and maintain SSRS reports
- Participate in all phases of the data solutions lifecycle
- Conduct impact analysis and provide development estimates
- Collaborate in design, planning, and requirement-definition sessions
- Translate business requirements into technical documentation
- Perform defect analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution
- Support multiple SQL Server data repositories
- Analyze datasets to identify missing, incomplete, or invalid data
- Apply data architecture principles in partnership with the Lead Data Architect
- Develop and document business rules, mappings, and transformation logic
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including PMO, QA, BA, and Operations
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
- Expert-level T-SQL development
- SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS)
- Intermediate to advanced relational database modeling and design
- Power BI and other BI/data visualization tools
- SSRS report support
- Strong understanding of data development best practices
- Excellent problem-solving, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
- Proven discretion when handling sensitive and confidential data
- Strong collaboration skills across technical and business stakeholders

- Data Vault data modeling methodology

- Advanced data modeling
- Experience with distributed or enterprise-scale data platforms
Experience Requirements Required
- 5+ years of professional Data Development experience using relational database platforms and BI technologies
Preferred
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Experience in Education or Government sectors
- Familiarity with Special Education programs, services, or compliance monitoring

- $63.00-70.00 per hour
