Job description
- Actively participate as a member of an agile development team
- Design, Develop, Review and Test new software features in an all-digital distributed simulation environment
- Implement APIs and integration external high-fidelity digital simulation software into Raytheon's Air Dominance Testbed and Air Combat Evaluation Model®.
- Provide direct Warfighter support by developing software used to inform operator tactics and procedures.
- Work with Subject Matter Experts to verify and validate digital simulation performance
- Work cross-domain to develop medium-fidelity physics models of conceptual missile systems
Requirements
- Master's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field (including computer science).
- Experience with at least one object oriented programming language (Python, C++, Java, C#, etc)
Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects, * Specific majors: Computer Science, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering
- Cumulative GPA 3.0
- Coursework, internship, projects or work experience in the following areas:
- Simulation modeling, development, and/or analysis of physical systems
- Agile development methodologies
- Probability and statistics
- Software development processes and object-oriented design using and/or Python in either Unix or Linux computing environments.
- Software Configuration Management tools and processes (git, subversion, mercurial)
- Computation on high-performance computing (HPC) grids/clusters, SLURM
- Distributed simulation communication standards (DIS, TENA, HLA)
- DevOps tools, processes, and methods
- Demonstrated ability in the following areas:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively collaborate with peers, customers, management, and functional partners (IT, Cyber Security, Security).
- Creation and presentation of effective technical reports in PowerPoint and Document form.
- Prior experience with classified material
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance
Benefits & conditions
The salary range for this role is 68,900 USD - 131,100 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
