Job description

Kforce has a client that is seeking an Associate Director, Enterprise Network Security in New York, NY. Summary: We are seeking a seasoned Associate Director of Network Security to lead the strategy, implementation, and long-term maintenance of our enterprise-wide security infrastructure. This role is on-site 3-days a week in NYC. You will manage a high-performing team of security professionals, ensuring the integrity and availability of critical data and systems. This role requires a balance of executive leadership and technical depth to mitigate cyber threats across a complex, high-traffic digital environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Security Strategy: Develop and execute a multi-year network security roadmap aligned with organizational risk and compliance goals
  • Team Leadership: Oversee a large team of security specialists, providing career development, technical mentorship, and performance management
  • Architectural Oversight: Lead the design and deployment of robust security architectures, including next-gen firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and advanced access controls
  • Incident Response Management: Establish rapid-response procedures for threat detection and remediation; Lead post-incident investigations and coordinate recovery efforts across the organization
  • Vulnerability & Risk: Conduct frequent infrastructure assessments to prioritize and mitigate technical vulnerabilities
  • Partner Management: Manage relationships and service level agreements (SLAs) with primary security vendors and hardware providers
  • Security Advocacy: Promote a security-first culture through training initiatives and cross-departmental collaboration
  • Financial Planning: Partner with IT leadership to define and manage the annual network security budget and resource allocation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Leadership: 5+ years in a management or supervisory capacity, with a proven track record of leading large, multi-disciplinary technical teams

Technical Proficiency: Extensive, hands-on experience with:

  • Enterprise-grade Firewalls and Centralized Management tools
  • Load Balancing and Web Application Firewalls (WAF)
  • Large-scale Cisco network environments
  • Lifecycle Expertise: Strong background in the full systems development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial architecture to day-to-day operations
  • Communication: Ability to present complex security risks and technical strategies to non-technical executive stakeholders

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
