Job description

Graphics That Pop is a national leader in micro-market fixtures, retail décor, and merchandising solutions, and the founder of Path To Unity - a groundbreaking civic-tech platform designed to unite neighborhoods and empower local communities.

We are seeking an extremely experienced WordPress Developer to join our in-house team and play a critical role in building, scaling, and maintaining multiple high-visibility platforms.

What You'll Be Working On

GraphicsThatPop.com (national B2B manufacturing brand)
PathToUnity.org (large-scale social & civic engagement platform)
Member portals, dashboards, custom plugins, APIs, data workflows, and future mobile integrations

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and maintain advanced WordPress systems from the ground up
Develop custom plugins, themes, and integrations (not just page builders)
Build secure membership systems, role-based dashboards, and complex forms
Optimize performance, scalability, security, and backups
Integrate AI tools, APIs, CRM systems, analytics, and third-party platforms
Work directly with ownership to turn ideas into production systems quickly
Maintain staging / production environments and version control
Troubleshoot, refactor, and modernize legacy code

Requirements

7+ years professional WordPress development experience with Affiliate WordPress, Divi and WordPress plug-ins
Advanced PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Custom plugin and theme development (no template dependency)
Deep experience with REST APIs, webhooks, Google analytics, and automation tools
Strong knowledge of security hardening, server environments, and performance optimization
Git version control & deployment workflows
Comfortable building complex data-driven platforms

Bonus Skills

Experience with WooCommerce with BuddyBoss, membership systems, or social platforms
AI integrations or object-detection / data systems leveraging Claude Code
Social Management experience leveraging Hootsuite
Familiarity with AWS / VPS environments
React, Vue, or headless WordPress experience
Experience building civic-tech, SaaS, or marketplace platforms
