SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Responsible for the operational stability, maintenance, and support of enterprise infrastructure platforms. Focuses on system uptime, performance, patching, and incident response across compute, storage, virtualization, identity, and endpoint systems.
Ensures reliable day-to-day operation of critical systems through proactive maintenance, issue resolution, and execution of core operational processes including patching, backups, and recovery., * Serves as primary technical owner for enterprise infrastructure platforms including VMware ESXi, Cisco UCS compute and NetApp storage, endpoint protection, encryption, and authentication systems, operating within established standards and approved architectures
- Implements and maintains enterprise server and desktop platforms ensuring high availability, performance, and security
- Administers and supports Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, SCCM, clustering, and related identity and management platforms
- Maintains and supports enterprise VDI and endpoint mobility platforms including image lifecycle management, application packaging, and deployment
- Maintains technical documentation and provides escalation-level support and knowledge transfer for infrastructure platforms
- Executes system patching and vulnerability remediation
- Performs backup monitoring and validation
- Participates in incident response and on-call support
- Performs other related duties consistent with the seniority of the role
- All other duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience with 7+ years of enterprise infrastructure experience
- Advanced experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, SCCM/SCOM, disaster recovery testing, endpoint protection, encryption, and enterprise authentication technologies
- Strong experience operating VMware vSphere and VDI environments in mission-critical organizations
- Expertise managing Windows Server and desktop environments with PowerShell or PowerCLI automation is highly desirable
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking including firewalls, routing/switching, virtualization networking (e.g., NSX), and wireless infrastructure
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and documentation skills
- VMware VCP or VCAP certifications are preferred
- Valid driver's license and ability to meet TWIC security requirements
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL EFFORT:
Normal office environment with occasional exposure to outdoor conditions. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
