Job description
As the Global Operational Excellence Change Agent, you will be responsible for driving operational efficiency and excellence across Elanco's manufacturing network. This role focuses on establishing a culture of continuous improvement, optimizing processes, and leading Lean Six Sigma and digital transformation initiatives. You will collaborate cross-functionally to improve performance, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational effectiveness across the organization., * Responsible for driving operational efficiency and excellence across Elanco's manufacturing network.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies, processes, and best practices that optimize performance, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.
- Establish a culture of continuous improvement by implementing Lean Six Sigma methodologies and other best practices to drive operational excellence initiatives and optimizing workflows, eliminating waste, and enhancing overall productivity.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless integration of operational processes and foster an environment that encourages knowledge sharing and cross-functional problem solving.
- Define key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the effectiveness of operational processes and digital initiatives.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas requiring intervention.
- Lead change management efforts associated with process improvements and digital transformation initiatives and provide training and support to employees to enhance their skills and capabilities in adopting new technologies and operational practices.
- Lead the digital transformation initiatives across all operational functions, leveraging emerging technologies such as AI, automation, and data analytics.
- Champion the adoption of digital tools and platforms to streamline processes, reduce costs, and improve decision making capabilities.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent plus 3 years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or any engineering related roles.
- Experience: Applicants must have 3 years of experience in the following: Lean Manufacturing and Lean transformation activities including kaizen in organizations; Minitab, JMP or SPSS statistical software to analyze data and provide results based on the analyzed data from the statistical software; Six Sigma including DMAIC problem solving process to solve complex business and operations problems; Value Stream Mapping to make the data and opportunities visual from end to end in a factory thus, reducing lead time of product and services; Training development develop training programs and needs assessments for organizations to improve the skill level of the overall organization in Lean and Six Sigma methodologies; and Project Management.
Travel Requirement: 25% domestic and international travel required to implement Lean and Six Sigma tools and train others in these methodologies.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):
- Experience leading Lean Manufacturing and Lean transformation activities in large-scale manufacturing organizations.
- Strong background in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, including DMAIC and kaizen execution.
- Experience applying digital tools, automation, and data analytics in operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver training programs for operational excellence.
- Strong project management experience driving cross-functional improvement initiatives.
