Job description

Serve as a Platform Network Engineer

Design and implement robust and efficient network infrastructure solutions for data center environments

Support data integration efforts

Design, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain complex Layer 2/3 data center architectures

Use BGP, VLANs, MLAG, LAG, Spine/Leaf topologies, Trunk/Access ports, and other technologies

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements

Translate business requirements into effective network solutions

Stay updated on the latest networking trends and best practices

Proactively seek out new learning opportunities to enhance technical expertise.

Contribute to the documentation of network infrastructure designs and configurations

Provide future reference and knowledge sharing among team members

Travel up to 20% of the time, as required, to perform on-site installations, and maintenance

Requirements

Proficiency in different frameworks like Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall

Experience in designing, configuring, and managing BGP and Layer 2/3 Data Center architectures.

Expertise in:

  • VLAN
  • MLAG (Multi-Chassis Link Aggregation Group)
  • LAG (Link Aggregation Group)

Experience with Spine and Leaf architecture design and implementation.

Strong understanding of Trunk/Access ports, their functions, and how to configure them

Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams

Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (domestic and international) as required

Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality work

Have current IAM Level II to satisfy DOD 8570 IAT requirements, * infrastructure as a code (IaC): 5 years (Preferred)

  • Kubernetes cluster management: 5 years (Preferred)
  • CI/CD pipeline: 5 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • CI Polygraph security clearance (Preferred)
