Job description
Serve as a DevOps Engineer
Build infrastructure from a bare-metal deployment
Review architecture and design to create safe and efficient build processes
Provide engineering expertise across a diverse set of engineering topics
Review networks and understand network flows
Build out datacenter architectures through trial-and-error cycles
Successful candidate will be expected, that armed with the internet, you can:
- Independently identify things you do not know
- Teach yourself and come back with answers
Understand things such as:
- Out of band management networks
- Management interfaces
- Patch cycles, etc.
Requirements
5+ years of DevOps experience specifically in:
- An on-prem environment
- Containerization (Docker)
- Kubernetes (Openshift)
- Linux (RHEL)
Proficient in Python, or Java programming
Proficient with
- Prometheus
- Grafana
Experience building out datacenter architectures from scratch
No cloud tools
Nothing built already
Strong understanding of networking
Familiarity/experience with the following is preferred, * Prometheus: 3 years (Preferred)
- Grafana: 3 years (Preferred)
- scripting or coding/programming : 3 years (Preferred)
- DevOps engineering: 5 years (Preferred)
- Kubernetes: 3 years (Preferred)
- Ansible and Terraform: 3 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- CI Polygraph Clearance (Preferred)
