Job description

JOB SUMMARY: The L2 Application Support Engineer is responsible for providing real-time support for Market Data systems in a fast-paced investment banking environment. This role involves troubleshooting, incident management, and ensuring high availability of critical systems while acting as a key interface between users, IT teams, and external vendors. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Application & Production Support Provide Level 2 support for real-time Market Data applications Troubleshoot and resolve issues with minimal escalation to L3 Monitor system performance and ensure high availability Incident & Queue Management Act as the primary interface for all service requests and issues Manage operational call queues and meet SLA requirements Handle multiple incidents simultaneously with strong ownership Technical Troubleshooting Perform root cause analysis and issue resolution Use Unix/Linux tools (netstat, mpstat, grep, awk) for diagnostics Support network and messaging technologies (TCP/IP
