Job description

  • Lead and own the design of integration strategies for M&A projects, ensuring alignment with Qualcomm business objectives and growth plans.
  • Serve as an architect and subject matter expert for technology and business process integrations related to M&A transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as CorpDev, Engineering, Finance, HR, IMO, IT, and Legal to identify integration requirements, risks, and dependencies.
  • Develop and maintain detailed integration roadmaps and playbooks for acquired entities.
  • Conduct due diligence assessments to evaluate technology, process, and organizational fit prior to deal sign and close
  • Establish and own systems integration strategy and contribute to process harmonization efforts to ensure business continuity and operational efficiency.
  • Establish integration KPIs, reporting progress and issues to executive leadership.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with integration
  • Own and continuously improve M&A integration methodologies, tools, and best practices.

Requirements

Qualcomm is seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) Architect to join the Office of the CIO (OCIO) M&A Team. The IT M&A Architect will play a critical role in the successful integration of acquired entities into Qualcomm. This role involves strategizing, planning, and establishing the integration roadmap across business processes, technology, and culture to deliver seamless transitions and maximize value from M&A transactions.

This role requires full-time onsite work in San Diego, CA (5 days per week)., * Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in M&A integration, IT architecture, or business process transformation within a large, global organization.

  • Bachelor ' s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field. Or 8+ years in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Public Cloud Providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform)
  • Experience with SaaS Services/Tools used by enterprises
  • Proven track record of leading successful M&A integrations, preferably in the Semiconductor, AI, Automotive, Datacenter, or IoT sectors
  • Strong understanding of engineering/enterprise IT systems, business process mapping, and data governance.
  • Excellent project management skills, with experience participating in multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience with cultural integration and change management in multi-national environments.
  • Self-starter, organized, and detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently with little guidance and supervision
  • Ability to travel internationally as required.
  • Ability to take responsibility for own work and make decisions that do not negatively impact company operations
  • Ability to prioritize and effectively handle shifting priorities
  • Ability to collaborate with all domains within IT while keeping focus on M&A success
  • Represent the OCIO IT M&A Team in C-Level executive forums and cross-functional meetings
  • Ability to effectively communicate with VP level executives and influence decisions for M&A success
  • Ability to manage changing schedules, including meetings and activities with global team members.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal abilities.
  • Possess a creative problem-solving mindset
