Job description

We are looking for a people-focused, results-oriented Manager, Finance Business Partner to join our Technology Finance organization. This role serves as a Finance Business Partner for Technology and Product-aligned SVP/VP organizations, while also managing and developing a small team of Finance Business Partners supporting complex and fast-moving portfolios.

The Finance Manager operates as a player-coach-acting as a primary finance partner to senior Technology and Product leaders while also providing direction, coaching, and accountability for team outcomes. This role works closely with centralized FP&A, Accounting, Tax, Sourcing/Procurement, and other Finance teams to ensure accurate forecasting, strong financial governance, and alignment to enterprise objectives.

The ideal candidate is an experienced finance leader with strong people-management and communication skills, a high bar for financial rigor, and the ability to balance strategic partnership with execution discipline in a matrixed environment. This role requires comfort with ambiguity, ownership of results, and a passion for developing high-performing finance talent as the Tech Finance organization continues to evolve.

**This role is Hybrid and will require you to be in office 4 days per week in downtown Seattle, WA.

A day in the life:

  • Act as a senior finance partner to Technology and Product SVP/VP leaders, participating in weekly leadership meetings and supporting strategic and day-to-day decision-making.
  • Lead and develop a team of Finance Business Partners, providing coaching, prioritization, and support to drive strong financial outcomes and professional growth.
  • Lead monthly business reviews and in-year outlooks, ensuring clear financial insights, risks, opportunities, and recommendations are delivered with consistency and quality.
  • Analyze results across the P&L and guide the team in identifying trends, communicating insights, and recommending investment shifts to optimize ROI.
  • Own financial inputs, assumptions, and narratives for assigned portfolios while ensuring effective partnership between FBPs and centralized FP&A teams on forecasting models, consolidation, and reporting.
  • Partner with leaders on annual planning, scenario analysis, and investment business cases to support prioritization and trade-off decisions.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Tax, and Sourcing/Procurement on capitalization, expense treatment, vendor considerations, and financial governance.
  • Drive forecasting discipline, process improvement, and automation efforts to improve accuracy, clarity, and predictability across Technology and Product portfolios.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance or FP&A, including experience managing or leading other finance professionals.
  • Demonstrated experience serving as a Finance Business Partner to senior leaders, ideally supporting Technology, Engineering, or Product organizations.
  • Strong people-leadership skills, with experience coaching, developing, and holding teams accountable in a matrixed environment.
  • Advanced financial planning, forecasting, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills, including experience working in SmartView-enabled Excel environments.
  • Experience with Oracle-based ERP systems and Workday; familiarity with SQL, Looker, Anaplan, or Alteryx is a plus.
