Job description
Cloud & Infrastructure
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS GovCloud (US) environments.
- Build highly available, secure, fault tolerant architectures.
- Work with AWS services: EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, RDS, Lambda, ELB, Route 53, CloudWatch, CloudTrail.
- Provision infrastructure using Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
DevOps & Automation
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, AWS Code Pipeline).
- Automate deployments, configuration management, and scaling.
- Implement blue green, canary, and rolling deployments.
- Manage containers using Docker and Kubernetes (EKS).
Security & Compliance (GovCloud)
- Ensure compliance with FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST 800 53, DoD SRG, ITAR.
- Implement IAM, encryption, KMS, network segmentation, auditing best practices.
- Support security audits, documentation, and vulnerability remediation.
Monitoring & Reliability
- Set up monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK.
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis.
- Apply SRE best practices to ensure reliability and performance.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Work with application, security, and compliance teams.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers.
- Participate in architecture reviews, change management, and incident response.
Requirements
- 10+ years in Cloud / DevOps engineering.
- Strong, hands on AWS GovCloud experience.
- Solid Linux/Unix administration.
- Proficient in Shell / Bash / Python.
- Strong Terraform / CloudFormation experience.
- CI/CD automation expertise.
- Docker & Kubernetes (EKS) experience.
- Deep AWS networking (VPC, subnets, SGs, NACLs).
- Strong IAM and security best practices.
- Experience supporting federal or regulated environments.
- Hands on exposure to FedRAMP Moderate/High processes.
Desired:
- AWS Certifications (DevOps Pro, Solutions Architect Pro, Security Specialty).
- Experience with Ansible / Chef / Puppet.
- Background in government, defense, or public sector projects.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture.
