Apex Systems is hiring a Voice Project Manager to join a growing healthcare client that is 100% remote, We are seeking a Project Manager with deep Voice and Contact Center experience to support a high-volume, fast-moving portfolio of technical projects. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, communicates confidently with both engineers and business leaders, and can drive delivery across multiple workstreams.
You'll join a team currently managing 100+ active voice system projects, many involving contact center migrations-a core requirement for this role. This is not a hands-on engineering position, but you must understand voice technologies well enough to anticipate risks, translate requirements, and keep teams aligned.
What You'll Do
- Lead end-to-end projects focused on voice systems, with a strong emphasis on contact center migrations.
- They are migrating from various voice system platforms including Avaya, Nortel, and Cisco environments to Zoom
- Build and tailor project plans, requirements, and WBS structures.
- Manage timelines, dependencies, and delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
- Use Smartsheet (or similar tools) for project planning and tracking.
- Maintain excellent documentation, including detailed status reports for leadership.
- Act as the bridge between technical teams (network, security, carriers, engineering) and business stakeholders.
- Collaborate with carrier teams on number porting and provisioning tasks.
- Identify risks early by understanding the technical environment and downstream impacts.
- Partner with vendors and internal teams in a highly cross-functional environment.
- Potentially manage project budgets up to ~$1M.
Requirements
- Must-have: Strong experience managing voice and contact center technology projects, especially migrations.
- Solid understanding of telephony, carriers, number porting, and provisioning workflows.
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical engineers and business leadership.
- Experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong documentation habits-clear, detailed, and leadership-ready.
- Familiarity with project planning tools (Smartsheet experience is a plus).
- Ability to anticipate risks and issues based on how voice environments operate.
- Collaborative, proactive working style with the ability to operate independently.
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with many moving parts.
- Nice to have: Healthcare provider experience, especially where projects impact patient care workflows.

Benefits & conditions
Duration: 1+ year contract with strong potential to extend or convert
Compensation: $60-70/hr
