Apex Systems is hiring a Network Project Manager to join a growing healthcare client that is 100% remote, We're looking for a Network Project Manager to support our clients enterprise-wide modernization efforts, with a strong focus on firewall lifecycle replacement and LAN uplift projects. You'll partner closely with top-tier network engineers and drive complex initiatives that keep a large healthcare organization secure, modern, and running smoothly.
What You'll Work On
Firewall Deployment Program (Primary Focus)
- Lead a major initiative to replace 100+ Palo Alto firewalls across diverse environments (data centers, clinics, remote sites).
- Manage a fast-paced, engineering-heavy project with constant lifecycle refresh cycles.
- Communicate effectively with technical teams and keep workstreams aligned and moving.
LAN / Construction-Related Projects
- Manage 2-3 long-term LAN uplift projects.
- Conduct monthly check-ins, track cabling, WAP installs, MDS/IDS progress, and coordinate access for construction teams.
- No construction background required-just strong organizational and communication skills.
Technical Environment
While this is not a hands-on engineering role, you must understand network concepts well enough to manage complex technical projects.
- Firewalls: Palo Alto (major focus)
- Load Balancers: Cisco (strongly preferred)
- LAN / Firewall project experience required
- Prior technical background is a major plus
Core PM Responsibilities
- Build and maintain detailed WBS structures in Smartsheet
- Develop full project plans using templates and custom requirements
- Provide meaningful, detailed status updates-not surface-level summaries
- Anticipate risks by understanding the technical environment
- Maintain impeccable documentation and scheduling discipline
- Collaborate across a large, layered organization with many stakeholders
- Manage project budgets in the $2M+ range

Benefits & conditions
Duration: 1+ year contract with strong potential to extend or convert
Compensation: $60-70/hr
