Job description
The Freeman Company is searching for the next great talented problem-solver in an Employee Data Management Specialist to enhance the daily operation within the company's HR system of record. Under the umbrella of the HR Shared Services function, the Employee Data Management Specialist is accountable for assisting with the development and auditing of end-to-end HR Shared Services processes, programs, and initiatives using project management tools and processes. This individual ensures data integrity and seeks process improvement opportunities. In addition, this individual will support mergers and acquisitions and related data integration and data conversion activities. Closely partnering with various stakeholders, the Employee Data Management Specialist will ensure alignment on scope, priorities, and support teams in meeting key milestones while supporting the execution of our new HR operating model., Employee Data Management and Integrity
- Mass Data Loads: Prepare and upload large volumes of employee or organizational data using validated import templates to ensure efficient onboarding, restructuring, or system updates while minimizing manual entry errors
- Delete Actions: Perform controlled deletions of obsolete or incorrect records in compliance with data governance policies to maintain accuracy and prevent unauthorized data removal
- Historical Data Corrections: Update legacy records to reflect accurate employee data changes or adjustments
- Position Maintenance: Create, update, or deactivate position records to reflect organizational changes, ensuring accurate headcount tracking, reporting, and downstream system alignment
Data Elements and Auditing
- New Data Element Creation: Define and create new data fields or attributes (e.g., job codes, cost centers) to support evolving business needs and enhance reporting capabilities
- Data Audits: Conduct regular reviews of HR data to identify inconsistencies, duplicates, or missing information, supporting compliance and informed decision-making
- Organizational Hierarchy Integrity: Maintain accurate reporting structures and relationships to ensure proper workflow routing, security access, and organizational visibility
Special Projects
- M&A Data Loads/Updates: Integrate acquired employee data into HCMS, aligning formats and structures for seamless transition, compliance, and unified reporting post-merger or acquisition
- Responsible for driving issues to resolution and escalating unresolved issues to appropriate leaders/teams timely
- Leverage best practices where relevant and tools/frameworks for effective and successful project management
- Assist in supporting HR metrics and reporting
- Uses influence toward shared internal communications
- Uses innovation to approach difficult and complex issues
- Performs other duties as assigned
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess knowledge of SuccessFactors or other HR-related software and applications. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, the successful candidate will provide line of sight into project work, effectively support release enhancements led and delivered by IT and support project deadlines.
This position will support our Human Resources team. It is eligible to work a hybrid schedule, generally requiring work in-office and/or show-site 2-3 days per week. This position is based out of our North Dallas office in Dallas, TX., * Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, or related field preferred, High School Diploma or Equivalent with relevant work experience required
- Minimum 2 years of complex data entry, inclusive of imports and mass loads required
- Minimum of 1 year of experience building/executing complex reports
- Proficient to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to work creatively, innovatively, independently and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Proven ability to adapt effectively to changing technology and business needs
- Ability to work collaboratively across business functions
- Ability to provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and/or fellow Freeman employees
- Must have proven organizational and time management skills; able to effectively manage multiple tasks and changing priorities and meet deadlines
- Demonstrated communication (written and oral) including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
- Technology Skills - Practical Experience with using cloud-based HR systems
- Analytical Skills - Synthesizes complex or diverse information using intuition, research and experience to complement data provided. Reviews & analyzes a wide variety of information and recommends a specific course of action
