Design Engineer

The Design Engineer in this role is responsible for turning ideas and customer requirements into a functional system using efficient and affordable processes. Their duties include preparing 3D models and detailed drawings, researching possible production methods and use engineering software to refine and develop their product., * Design and detailing of structural steel projects

• Create models / designs from sketches and/or verbal information provided by manager
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and install teams throughout project life
• Create and manage BOM for each job
• Size and order purchase parts such as drives, bearings, ect…

• Ability to work in fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make timely decisions
• Attention to detail
• Effective oral and written communication, * Technical Degree (or Equivalent Engineering Drafting Design Experience)
• Minimum of 3 years engineering experience or equivalent
• AutoCAD Inventor or SolidWorks experience preferred
• AutoCAD 2D
• Familiar with typical GD&T standards
• Strong mechanical background
• Structural steel knowledge preferred
