Job description
- Install, configure, and integrate Nokia AirScale BBU/RRU and transport equipment
- Perform commissioning, SCF loading, and software upgrades
- Troubleshoot alarms, hardware/software issues, and network performance problems
- Conduct testing including E911, SAT, and KPI validation
- Complete site documentation and Close Out Packages (COPs)
- Support field and remote integration activities
- Work with fiber, cabling, GPS kits, and power systems
- Coordinate with NOC, RF, and engineering teams
Requirements
This role involves commissioning, integrating, and troubleshooting Nokia RAN and transport equipment to ensure stable and high-performing LTE and 5G networks. The position requires strong field experience, hands-on technical skills, and the ability to work across multiple telecom sites., * Must be in Chicago market and willing to travel up to 80%
- 3-5 years of telecom integration and troubleshooting experience
- 5+ years of telecom industry experience (T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, Sprint)
- Strong experience with Nokia AirScale, Flexi, and BTS systems
- Experience with LTE, 5G, UMTS, GSM technologies
- Knowledge of IP networking, routing, and fiber systems
- Must have own vehicle, tools, laptop, and phone
- Valid driver's license and insurance required
- Nokia scoping knowledge preferred
- Previous T-Mobile experience preferred
Required Certifications (At Start):
- CPR
- Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP)
- RF Awareness
- OSHA 10 + Fall Protection or OSHA 30
Preferred:
- Experience with telecom construction management
- Familiarity with carrier systems (Crown Castle, ATC, SBA, NOCs, etc.)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
