Requirements
- Software Engineer: Bachelors in related field with 2 years of experience, Masters with 0 years of experience, or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree
- Principal Software Engineer: 5 Years with Bachelor's in related field of study, 3 Years with Masters, 1 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree.
Required for both levels:
- US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
- Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
- Experience developing software projects with C++ and applying software best practices
- Experience deriving requirements from user's needs
- Experience managing requirements in a tool, such as IBM DOORs or Jama
- Experience creating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models in Cameo or similar tool
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with Command and Launch systems and mission objectives
- Model Builder - Fundamental certification
- Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools
- Experience working in a cross-functional Scrum team
- Experience performing Safety Critical Functional Thread Analysis (SCFTA)
- Experience creating requirements Peer Review packages that include all artifacts required for the review

This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package., Primary Level Salary Range: $83,400.00 - $131,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $103,600.00 - $163,200.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
