SAP Tax Functional Consultant

The SAP Tax Consultant is responsible for the design, configuration, and implementation of tax solutions within SAP S/4HANA Finance. The role supports end to end tax determination, calculation, reporting, and compliance, ensuring accurate and consistent tax treatment across business processes. The consultant also supports integration with external tax engines (Vertex), where applicable, and ensures alignment between tax requirements, intercompany processes, and upstream operational and financial functions.

• Strong experience in SAP S/4HANA Finance, especially tax-related processes, and data
• Expertise in Direct Tax & Tax Consolidation, including tax reporting, provisions, and compliance
• Ability to extract, reconcile, and validate tax-sensitive data from GL, Fixed Assets, and intercompany transactions
• Hands-on experience with Sales & Use Tax (Indirect Tax) in SAP, including tax determination and reporting
• Experience in Property Tax data handling, reporting, and reconciliation from SAP (FI-AA, GL)
• Strong knowledge of Withholding Tax configuration, reporting, and compliance in SAP
• Understanding of Transfer Pricing concepts and intercompany accounting within SAP
• Experience working with intercompany transactions, profit center accounting, and margin analysis
• Exposure to SAP integration with external tax engines (e.g., Vertex Inc.)
• Strong data analysis and reconciliation skills for audit-ready tax reporting
• Ability to work across teams including Tax, Finance, Controlling, and IT
• Experience supporting compliance, audits, and statutory reporting requirements.
