Job description

Wide application of principles, theories, and concepts in the field plus working knowledge of other related disciplines. May direct and monitor the work of junior engineers and technicians. Involves being part of and leading a team of engineers and technicians to perform on program elements. Requires frequent inter-organizational contacts with sales, marketing, customer services, and manufacturing plus outside customer contacts. Represents the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical problems associated with specific projects. Must work within schedule and cost constraints and internal Company policies.

Principal Accountabilities:

In addition to accountabilities associated with lower grades, performs specific engineering assignments which could include (but are not limited to) any combination of the following major activities:

Develop engineering solutions to assigned tasks within schedule and budget constraints Identify problems, issues, and concerns; plan and implement remediation activities. Contribute to team activities in a leadership role to minimize process time requirements, assist in the direction and training of junior engineers.
