Job description
is a senior-level technical role responsible for designing, supporting, and optimizing complex infrastructure environments, including servers, virtualization platforms, storage, networking, and telephony systems. This role ensures the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise systems while leading automation initiatives and driving continuous process improvements. The ideal candidate brings broad, hands-on expertise across multiple technologies, excels in troubleshooting complex issues, recommends strategic enhancements, and partners effectively with cross-functional teams to support business objectives., * Monitor systems daily to ensure the availability, performance, and integrity of hardware, servers, storage, and critical processes; review system logs and verify successful backup completion.
- Conduct continuous security monitoring to detect, analyze, and remediate potential threats or intrusions.
- Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade servers, virtualization platforms, and network components in accordance with established standards and operational requirements.
- Manage and optimize infrastructure applications, monitoring solutions, and asset management tools.
- Perform ongoing performance tuning, firmware updates, and capacity optimization for servers and data center technologies.
- Provide support for telephony systems (SIP) and proxy services (NGINX) to ensure reliable voice and network functionality.
- Leverage monitoring platforms such as Nagios and New Relic to proactively identify and resolve system issues.
- Partner with enterprise architecture teams to develop and implement server build standards and automation frameworks.
- Lead automation initiatives using tools such as PowerShell, Ansible, and GitHub to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve efficiency.
- Participate in incident response efforts, root cause analyses, and post-incident reviews, implementing long-term corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and change activities within ServiceNow.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree plus 5-7 years of experience OR High School Diploma/GED plus 9-11 years of experience in infrastructure administration.
- Strong understanding of data center management, storage platforms (NetApp, Dell PowerFlex), and integration across multiple systems.
- Advanced troubleshooting skills for outages and complex infrastructure issues.
- Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, DSC, Ansible) and scripting for infrastructure tasks.
- Familiarity with IT operations platforms such as ServiceNow for incident and change management.
- Proven experience with:
Operating Systems: Linux (Rocky) and Windows Server + Virtualization: VMware / Docker containers + Server / Storage : Cisco UCS / Netapp + Automation: GitHub, Ansible, and Terraform + Backup Systems: Veeam + Networking: Cisco Nexus / IOS + Firewalls: Palo Alto / Fortinet is required + Cloud Platforms: Azure + Monitoring Tools: Nagios, New Relic + Proxies: NGINX + Telephony: SIP-based systems
Preferred Certifications
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
- VMware or Palo Alto certifications a plus
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
- Work is performed in an office/home office environment.
- Team Members must have the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
- Team members may be asked to lift, carry, push, or pull objects. This position requires the ability to move equipment or packages up to 10 pounds. Team members may occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to service the lights and/or ceiling fans. Team members may also be asked to install or service equipment, including under desks, resulting in kneeling, stooping, or crouching.

Pay Rate $133,500 - $158,500 Salary Final pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
